Ahmad Abdul'aziz Yari is a board director of the City Boy Movement, a humanitarian and community development advocate from Zamfara State, and the son of Senator Abdul'aziz Yari.
Background
Zamfara State sits in the North-West of Nigeria, a region where subsistence farming, large young populations and years of insecurity have combined to make everyday relief work essential. It is in this context that Ahmad’s humanitarian efforts take place: food support during Ramadan and Sallah, help for orphans, and encouragement for students who would otherwise drop out.
He is the biological son of Senator Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari Abubakar, known as Marafan Sokoto, one of the most prominent political figures in North-West Nigeria. Local leaders in Tsafe publicly described Ahmad as “copying his father’s acts of humanitarian initiatives” when he began his own distributions.

Born into Zamfara
Ahmad grew up in Zamfara State, North-West Nigeria — a largely agrarian state of fourteen local government areas, where farming households, students and widows form the heart of community life.
Family
Son of Senator Abdul'aziz Yari
His father, Alhaji Abdul'aziz Abubakar Yari Abubakar (born 28 September 1968, Talata Mafara), served as Governor of Zamfara State from 2011 to 2019 and chaired the Nigeria Governors' Forum, was elected Senator for Zamfara West in 2023, and in 2026 was appointed Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

Ahmad distributed five hundred food packages to orphans and vulnerable families in Tsafe Local Government Area, an effort local leaders described as continuing his father's humanitarian tradition.

Movement meets campaign council
Seyi Tinubu, Patron of the City Boy Movement, led members on a courtesy visit to Senator Yari in Abuja, where both sides agreed to build stronger synergy between the Movement and the presidential campaign council.

Named to the City Boy Movement board
Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari was appointed to the board of the City Boy Movement, in the same round of appointments that made aviation entrepreneur Isaac Balami an executive board member and National Director on Special Duty.
