In September 2026 Ahmad Abdul'aziz Yari joined the board of the City Boy Movement, the youth-driven civic platform mobilising millions of young Nigerians toward the 2027 general elections.
What the movement is
Founded by young people, for young people
The City Boy Movement was founded in 2022 as a grassroots civic advocacy platform. It describes itself as a non-violent, non-state movement of young Nigerians committed to good governance, youth inclusion and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In July 2026 the movement held its national retreat and swore in its National Working Committee. In January 2026 it had ratified state and diaspora directors across the country.

Named to the board in September 2026
Reports of the September 2026 reorganisation listed Ahmad Abdul’aziz Yari among the board members appointed to strengthen the movement. The same announcement named aviation entrepreneur Isaac Balami as an executive board member and National Director on Special Duty.
While public sources do not yet give Ahmad a more specific title such as Director-General, his board seat places him inside the national command that is coordinating state directors, diaspora chapters and the 10-million-vote target.

The City Boy Movement has set a national mobilisation target of ten million votes for the 2027 elections. Ahmad’s role on the board is to help translate that ambition into action on the ground.
